Resident Care Specialist

The Resident Care Specialist is a corporate role that supports a community Director of Health and Wellness (DHW) or assumes the role if vacant. Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining policies and procedures aligned with corporate and regulatory guidelines.
• Evaluating and improving compliance with resident rights policies and resolving grievances.
• Conducting compliance surveys and supporting action plans to mitigate risks.
• Assisting with State and Federal surveys and investigations, reviewing plan of correction progress, and developing performance indicators.
• Providing in-service training and orientation to staff on survey processes, risk management, compliance, and clinical expertise.
• Auditing level of care assessments for accuracy and compliance, assisting with the recruitment and training of DHWs, and monitoring regulatory changes.
• Supporting the Regional Director with auditing level of care assessments for accuracy and compliance.
• Championing company culture, collaborating with vendors, and assisting with education.

Qualifications

• Multistate Compact Licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Five to ten years of nursing experience.
• Three to five years of nursing management experience.
• Recent/current experience as Director of Wellness, Director of Clinical, or Director of Nursing in Assisted Living.
