About the role
The Resident Care Coordinator assists the Director of Resident Care in promoting optimal care for residents and managing the efficiency of the Assisted Living Department and/or Generations/Memory Care unit.
Responsibilities
- Ensures provision of services to residents and adherence to federal and state policies.
- Hires, evaluates, motivates, and supervises department staff, focusing on qualified candidates with interest in care and management of individuals with dementia.
- Covers job duties during employee breaks, meal times, and absences.
- Monitors and assists with personal care services and medication provision, ensuring proper documentation.
- Completes resident assessments and participates in service plan meetings.
- Maintains Eldermark data entries and ensures timely completion of required documentation.
- Coordinates nursing services and monitors infection control programs.
- Supports administration in referral development and maintains high census.
- Maintains a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests.
- Participates in daily stand-up meetings and assists with budget preparation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Required certifications as per state regulations.
- One (1) year experience providing residential care to the elderly or similar experience with specialized dementia care programs preferred.
- Six (6) months supervisory experience in a health-related field preferred.
