About the Role

As a Resident Assistant Lead, you’ll go beyond direct care—mentoring team members, leading by example, and ensuring the highest quality of care for residents. In this role, you will support daily care, provide leadership on your shift, and foster a collaborative, person-centered care environment. Your ability to guide, mentor, and support your team will make a lasting impact on both staff and residents.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct resident care – Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, mobility, meals, and restorative care while maintaining dignity and respect.
  • Mentor and support team members – Train, guide, and coach new and existing staff, promoting a positive and engaged work environment.
  • Act as a shift lead – Serve as the primary point of contact during shifts, triaging staff and resident needs, ensuring communication flow, and collaborating with clinical teams. Ensure quality and compliance.
  • Promote a positive culture – Lead by example, foster teamwork, and create an environment where both residents and team members feel supported and valued.

Requirements

  • Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of Minnesota preferred (may be required for some levels of assisted living).
  • Experience in resident care, mentoring, or leadership roles preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with a diverse team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to pass state mandated background check.
  • Physical capability to perform all essential job functions.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English to ensure effective communication with residents, families, and staff.
