About the role

Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center is a small, home-like memory care assisted living community caring for residents with mild to moderate dementia. We encourage independence while providing a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Assist residents with medication as needed under LPN/RN supervision.
• Encourage resident independence and dignity.
• Monitor resident safety and well-being; report changes to the LPN/RN.
• Consult with LPN/RN on changes in residents’ health status.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents by understanding their histories, preferences, and routines.
• Assist with light housekeeping and meal service to maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with coworkers and supervisors.
• Promote a warm, friendly, and respectful environment.

Requirements

• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in senior care, health care, or assisted living preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow care plans and safety protocols.
• Working knowledge of computers, electronic health records, email, and required applications.
• Physical, visual, and auditory ability to perform resident care.
• Maintain composure and positivity in high-stress environments.
• Promote residents’ physical, cognitive, and psychosocial well-being.
• Work with residents in a highly personal manner during acute and chronic illness stages.

Pay

$16.70 – $20.36 per hour (based on experience, skills, and education). Exempt positions paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
