Resident Assistant

Job Overview

We are looking for a Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide to provide personal care and health-related services to senior residents at Meadow Woods in Bloomington, MN. No CNA certification is required unless under 18 years old. The position is part-time, working 20 hours every two weeks, with evening shifts and every other weekend.

About the Role

Meadow Woods is part of the Martin Luther Campus Senior Community, located near the Mall of America and the Minnesota River Bluffs. Our 113-unit assisted, independent, and memory care buildings are situated in East Bloomington, MN, with easy access to public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with personal cares including bathing, showering, foot and fingernail care, shaving, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting, escorts, and transfers.
• Provides health-related services under the direction of the Registered Nurse, including blood glucose monitoring, administering medication, taking and recording vital signs, and performing specified home services.
• Performs laundry and cleaning tasks according to schedule.
• Facilitates resident social and recreational activities as assigned.
• Observes residents and reports status to staff.
• Notifies staff of changes in residents' condition.
• Responds to emergencies.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of experience.
• Ability to use technology (computers, handheld devices, cell phones, fax machines).
• If under 18, must be on the MN NA registry and the facility must manage restrictions.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience.

Pay

Compensation within the posted range is determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. The maximum of the range is not typical, and a sign-on bonus may apply if eligible.
