About the role

Medication Technicians / Resident Assistants at Holland Home play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care in a skilled nursing and long-term care environment. This position requires a minimum of 1 year of previous experience passing medications.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications accurately and safely in accordance with physician orders, state regulations, and facility protocols
• Document medication administration and promptly report concerns or changes to nursing staff
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, toileting, and feeding
• Provide emotional support, reassurance, and companionship to residents
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical, cognitive, or emotional condition
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment following infection control and safety guidelines
• Collaborate with nursing staff and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure high-quality, coordinated resident care

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in medication administration (required)
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
