Resident Aide, Part Time, Evenings

Responsibilities

• Assist in resident transports throughout the facility and to and from medical appointments as assigned.
• Assist in passing fluids and nourishment to residents after completing appropriate in-servicing under guidance of the LPN/Charge Nurse.
• Assist the nursing staff in performing tasks such as bed-making for empty beds only, straightening linens, cleaning closets and bedside tables, answering call lights and resident’s alarms.
• Attend facility-offered feeding assistant course as scheduled (expected competency to assist feeding residents as assigned).
• Perform all other non-technical duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing, Nurse Supervisor, or Nurse Care Coordinator.
• Attend all required in-services and follow all department and facility policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care and employee information and follow HIPAA and HIV regulations.

Physical Requirements

Light work: exerting up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

• Occasional: balancing, crouching, typing/clerical/dexterity, kneeling, lifting, pulling, seeing/monitor/computer use, stooping.
• Frequent: grasping, hearing, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, standing, talking, visual acuity (color, depth, perception), walking.
• Constant: fit testing.

Hazards

• Occasional exposure to bodily fluids/bloodborne pathogens.

Working Conditions

• Occasional noise and odors.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Pay

Salary is based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.

Pay Range: USD $16.00/Hr.
