Resident Aide/Med Tech

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate companionship to residents and assist with daily activities such as transferring, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Administer medications and injections to residents based on physicians’ orders recorded in medical charts.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the environment, including light housekeeping duties.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety and health standards, including meticulous infection control procedures.
• Monitor for changes in residents’ conditions and promptly communicate any changes to the supervisor.
• Follow schedules and assist residents with repositioning.
• Adhere to procedures regarding accurate documentation of medications.
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and ensuring their safety.
• Assist other team members with their duties as necessary.
• Respond to call lights and assess residents’ needs promptly.
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Minimum age of 18 years old.
• Experience in medication administration and working with seniors.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Availability to work every other weekend is required.
