Residency Program Coord 1
About the role
To provide direct assistance to the Program Director in coordinating all aspects of the Integrated Vascular Surgery Residency Program as needed, including facilitating and streamlining procedures for the residents. Must exercise judgment in decisions regarding priorities and establishing efficient work practices.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining databases and monitoring compliance with requirements.
- Coordination of all aspects of the Vascular Surgery Residency:
- Oversee resident evaluation process (New Innovations, CCC, PEC).
- Tracking faculty and resident attendance at didactics and meetings.
- Maintaining resident personnel files.
- Entering on-call schedule.
- Coinciding travel approvals and reimbursements.
- Ordering supplies.
- Preparation of events (interviews, graduation, wellness) for the residency program.
- Maintain calendars, coordinate meetings, answer/triage phone calls, coordinate travel arrangements and reimbursements, prepare check requests, maintain time-keeping records, assist with credentialing paperwork, serve as backup administrative support for the Division of Vascular Surgery.
- Surgical Simulation and Education Support:
- Afford surgical simulation director and faculty with simulation didactics schedule and execution of didactic lectures and labs.
- Afford assistance with simulation and skills lab inventory, organization, and functionality.
- Track and coordinate resident skills testing (FLS, FES, STEP 3, COMLEX 3, ERRA, SRRA, etc.).
- Maintain resident privileges in ePRIV.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and one year educational program or similar experience.
- OR Associate's degree from an accredited college or university and four years professional or administrative experience to include minimum of two years educational program experience or similar experience.
- OR High School Diploma or GED from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization and seven years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support positions to include a minimum of four years of educational program experience or similar experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Experience with UME/GME programs preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledgeable in MS Office and good telephone etiquette.
- Ability to learn PeopleSoft, multi-task and work independently.
- Excellent customer service and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F
Pay Band: B7
Salary Range: $20.29/hourly - $25.00/hourly
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position.
Recruitment Period: 6/25/26 - Until Filled
Conditions of Employment
- All selected candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Augusta University.
- If applicable for the specific position based on the duties: the candidate will also need to have a credit check complete for Positions of Trust and or approved departmental Purchase Card usage.
- Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that are required to drive an Augusta University vehicle.
