About the role
The Residence Inn Virginia Beach Town Center is the newest and roomiest addition to the Town Center market. It features 120 all-suite rooms, meeting space, indoor pool, and an outdoor patio with grills and a firepit. Conveniently located in Virginia Beach’s Central Business District, it is just steps from Town Center, surrounded by a vibrant and growing business community.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and complete the registration process to include, but not limited to, inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirming guest information and room rate, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing a welcome packet, and ensuring guests know the location of their room.
- Assist guests with check-out including, but not limited to, ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted for, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, accepting and recording various forms of payment, making change, and processing gift certificates and cards.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of hotel information including, but not limited to, room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, the local area, and other general product knowledge and answer guest questions and inquiries.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Field guest complaints, conduct research, and resolve and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction, as needed.
- Receive, input, retrieve, and relay messages to guests, as needed.
- Follow company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance is neat, clean, and professional at all times.
- Create fun and memorable experiences for guests.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Requirements
- Qualified candidates must have at least six (6) months of previous hotel front desk experience.
- Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- Must be able to follow company policies and procedures.

Pay
PT Base Rate is $16.00/hour plus an excellent benefits package!
Schedule
This industry functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day. Regular attendance in accordance with company standards is essential for success in this position.
