About the role
This Research Technician will perform specialized tasks related to the execution, optimization, and management of high-resolution spatial transcriptomics and proteomics workflows in the Spatial Profiling Hub Core Facility under the direction of the Core Director.
This role is responsible for daily core operations, including tissue processing, instrument maintenance, data management, and project billing, while ensuring strict compliance with institutional guidelines.
The technician will also assist with protocol development, knowledge of emerging technologies and approaches, and provide technical input for scientific publications to support the facility's goals to support researchers.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field
- Experience with molecular biology techniques, such as RNA extraction, library preparation, and sequencing
- Experience with high-throughput imaging systems and software
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of bioinformatics tools and statistical analysis
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant laboratory experience
- Experience with spatial profiling technologies and methodologies
- Hands-on experience with next-generation sequencing platforms
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Skills
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques
- Experience with high-throughput imaging systems and software
- Basic understanding of bioinformatics tools and statistical analysis
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
