About the role
The Technologist II position at Eurofins USA Clinical Diagnostics involves performing various laboratory tests following prescribed procedures, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results.
Responsibilities
- Performing any of the tests within any of the laboratory specialties, calculating results as necessary
- Operating, calibrating, conducting performance checks, and maintaining laboratory analyzers or equipment
- Recognizing and correcting basic analyzer malfunctions; notifying management personnel when appropriate
- Preparing reagents or media from a prescribed procedure
- Evaluating media, reagents, and calibrators according to established criteria
- Conducting established quality control procedures on analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products; evaluating results and implementing corrective action when indicated
- Determining performance specifications for new methods
- Utilizing laboratory information systems to accurately report patient results
- Maintaining quality assurance/continuous improvement programs
- Maintaining safety programs in compliance with laboratory regulations
- Supporting Eurofins DPT’s business philosophy, leadership values, and ethics
Requirements
- Minimum educational requirement: Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution
- If required by the state, appropriate state license to perform clinical laboratory testing
- Work experience requirements: 0-2 years of related experience
- Knowledge of medical technology principles, chemistry, biology, and bacteriology
- Ability to perform tasks according to prescribed procedures, make accurate observations, and records of test results
- Skills in using medical laboratory equipment
- Strong communication and analytical thinking skills
- Performing instrument maintenance, freezer, refrigerator, and incubator maintenance
- Performing QC reagents needed for patient testing
- Competent to perform routine testing for many tests performed within the department
Qualifications

- This laboratory carefully maintains all hazardous materials. Employees must abide by Eurofins DPT’s Safety and Exposure procedures, including using provided safety clothing and equipment.

Pay
$28-$30 per hour
