Research Technician with UF/IFAS Program for Resource Efficient Communities

This is a temporary, time-limited, full-time (40 hours per week, Monday through Friday) position.

About the Role

Conduct statistical analyses and support residential water conservation research projects with the UF/IFAS Program for Resource Efficient Communities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct statistical analyses, including ANOVA and linear regression
  • Perform data cleaning, organization, and basic data manipulation
  • Apply data transformations and assist with interpretation of quantitative findings
  • Prepare clear written descriptions of analytical methods for manuscripts and technical reports
  • Assist with ongoing residential water conservation research projects
  • Collaborate with faculty and research staff on project-related tasks
  • Conduct literature reviews related to ongoing research

Requirements

  • Experience with ANOVA, linear regression, and basic data manipulation
  • Familiarity with data transformations and related analytical techniques
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while meeting project deadlines

Qualifications

  • Understanding of residential water use and water conservation research (preferred)
  • Prior experience contributing to peer-reviewed journal articles or academic publications (preferred)
  • Experience working in a research or academic setting (preferred)

Pay

$20/hour
