As one of the largest Clinical Research Organizations in the world, we have four Early Phase Clinical Research Units in the UK and US. We are seeking a Clinical Research Technician in Daytona Beach, FL to interact directly with healthy volunteer participants while learning to read clinical research protocols in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Each day is different, exposing you to a wide variety of therapeutic indications and study types (ascending dose, first-in-human, food effect, drug-to-drug interactions, etc.). This full-time, office/clinic-based role supports some of the world’s leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies in establishing the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of new drugs.

About the Role

You will utilize your clinical skills and judgment to provide a high standard of care in clinical research. While working in Phase 1 trials, you’ll maintain direct interaction with participants, apply your clinical knowledge, and witness the development of cutting-edge medical technologies and treatments. When a drug you worked on gets approved, you’ll know you’ve impacted patients’ lives globally.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately perform blood pressure, venipuncture, weights, pulse, respiratory rate, and temperature readings
  • Prepare and accurately record ECGs/Holters
  • Collect and process biological samples as specified in the protocol and ensure proper distribution
  • Monitor meals to ensure dietary compliance by research participants
  • Assist in the preparation of rooms and medical equipment
  • Assist with screening procedures as needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working and study environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA, or CNA certification (preferred)
  • 0–1 year of related experience (comfort in a fast-paced, protocol-driven environment is essential)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in an upright and/or stationary position for 6–8 hours per day
  • Repetitive hand movements for operating lab equipment
  • Occasional crouching, stooping, bending, and twisting of the upper body and neck
  • Light to moderate lifting (15–20 lbs), including luggage and laptop computers
  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Varied hours may be required (rotational work shift)
