Research Technician II
Responsibilities
- Provides routine technical support for research activities and laboratory support for Professor Regine Choe’s research lab.
- Adapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment to meet specialized needs of the research lab.
- Assists with screening subjects for clinical research eligibility, obtaining consent, and communicating with clinical care team.
- Assists with collecting data from human subjects using non-invasive devices from the lab.
- May support, assist, and train other lab members as needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- 1 year experience performing basic sampling, monitoring or research activities, compiling and collecting data and preparing reports required or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and scientific methods required
- Experience in human subject research, data analysis and presentation, statistics preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or related field of study preferred
