Research Technician I

About the role

The Research Technician will assist with the regular functioning of a research laboratory for Dr. Hingorani in the Pancreatic Cancer Center of Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assisting other individuals in Dr. Hingorani's lab and performing duties as assigned
• Maintaining laboratory inventory and ordering needed supplies
• Preparing supplies for experiments
• Aiding in the maintenance of animal colonies, including breeding, genotyping, and record-keeping
• Performing experiments in mice and cultured cells and analyzing research data
• Maintaining proper maintenance of animal protocols
• Maintaining lab safety documents and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as biology, chemistry, or a related discipline
• Experience in a research laboratory setting is preferred but not required
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and techniques
