Job Summary

Primary responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this technical position will be microinjection of RNA and DNA into zebrafish embryos to assist in characterizing a tumor model of childhood central nervous system cancer. The candidate will screen fish for tumor formation, as well as perform molecular and biochemical assays (qPCR, Western analysis) and immunohistochemistry on tumor samples.

General laboratory responsibilities

• Contributing to the maintenance of a zebrafish lines
• Quality preparing materials for general molecular biology techniques (making buffers)
• Assisting senior lab members

Molecular biology experience preferences

• Preferred

Zebrafish experience preferences

• Plus, but not mandatory
