Research Technician 2-Anatomy & Neurobiology

Responsibilities

• Assists in THE maintenance of the animal colony.
• Assists in administering ethanol to animals.
• Assists in tissue collection.
• Performs mouse husbandry and exposes mice to alcohol.
• Performs behavior testing on mice.
• Performs tissue collection, expression analysis, tissue sectioning, and statistical analyses.
• Performs expression analyses using ELISA or immunohistochemistry.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in a science. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
• EXPERIENCE: OR a combination of college coursework and work experience to equal four (4) years.
• Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Strong work ethic, professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail. Ability to perform mouse husbandry. Skill handling mice.

Work Schedule

This position may occasionally be required to work weekends.
