Overview *** No job summary text exists in JDX for this position *** What You'll Do Under close supervision of Principal Investigator, conducts a variety of routine experiments following established procedures and protocols, which may include performing assays, tissue culture, electrophoresis, and other laboratory techniques. May also record test results, analyze data using basic statistics, maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, and monitor animal colonies. Conducts routine experiments following appropriate protocols and procedures to achieve resultsPerforms techniques such as tissue culture, PCR, immunohistochemistry, electrophoresis, protein purification and othersRecords results and maintains accurate records of experimentsPerforms limited data interpretation and assists with basic statistics and analysisMaintains laboratory equipment and orders/keeps inventory of suppliesPrepares stock solutions, reagents and other mediaMonitors animal colonies and performs husbandry, collects samples and maintains census records What We're Looking For Basic Requirements: Knowledge and experience typically acquired by: Bachelor's Degree related science The following required knowledge and skills as typically acquired by completing a Bachelor’s degree in science with up to one year laboratory experience Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques and procedures Pay Range Minimum $20.90, Midpoint $24.90, Maximum $28.90 Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
