About the role
Under supervision, carries out research projects within guidelines of regulatory compliance and/or Code of Federal Regulation. Duties include interacting with both internal and external customers at all levels and completing day-to-day operational tasks for the study. Direct contact with potential and enrolled study participants is expected. Provides other support as required.
Responsibilities
- Interact with internal and external customers at all levels
- Complete day-to-day operational tasks for research studies
- Engage in direct contact with potential and enrolled study participants
- Perform blood draws/phlebotomy and EKGs (experience helpful)
- Understand and apply medical terminology and brain/spine anatomy
- Adhere to research regulatory requirements
- Conduct informed consent processes and patient enrollment
- Support pharmaceutical trials
- Carry a work phone
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- One (1) year of work experience preferred, with experience in research and/or healthcare
- OR Associates degree, preferably in a research or healthcare-related field
- Understanding of medical terminology and brain/spine anatomy
- Research regulatory experience
- Experience with informed consent processes, patient enrollment, and pharmaceutical trials
- Willingness to carry a work phone
Preferred Skills
- Stroke clinical research experience
- Ability to work both as a team player and autonomously
- Blood draw/phlebotomy and EKG experience
- Flexibility in work approach and schedule
