About the Role

Northwestern University's Center for Behavioral Intervention Technologies (CBITs) is seeking candidates for a research study assistant position. The mission of CBITs is to design, evaluate, and sustainably implement digital mental health solutions. The overarching theme of CBITs' research is focused on the design, evaluation, and implementation of technology-enabled interventions for common mental health problems. This research coordinator position is funded by an NIMH grant that aims to evaluate technology-enabled services for suicide prevention and treatment of affective disorder outside of healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

  • Recruits study participants
  • Reviews & obtains informed consent
  • Schedules study visits with participants
  • Conducts interviews
  • Scores test results
  • Collects survey data
  • Facilitates communication with key personnel & participants to maintain project study flow
  • Conducts risk assessment and management phone calls or contact with participants
  • Builds and manages survey and administrative form construction
  • Maintains detailed records of results which may include collecting, extracting & entering data; &/or preparing basic charts & graphs
  • Completes portions of grant applications &/or documents associated with current local, state, & federal regulatory guidelines, requirements, laws & research protocols
  • May process payments for research participants per study protocol
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Competencies

  • Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience carrying out research protocols (experience with digital mental health or technology-enabled services research preferred)
  • Experience in participant-facing research role preferred
  • Experience working in a large research institution preferred

  • Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap)
  • Suicide Prevention Risk Assessment

Pay

Target hiring range for this position will be between $17.05 - 21.31 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
