RESEARCH SPECIALIST II - Cornett Research Farm
About the role
The Northern Missouri Research Extension and Education Center (NM-REEC) seeks a Research Specialist II to work out of the Cornett Farm located in Linneus, MO. The successful candidate will assist professors on research projects involving cattle, crops and forages.
Responsibilities
- Assist in day-to-day research activities for various agronomic trials across a diverse set of crops. These projects have many different protocols and timelines.
- Plan and prioritize resources to project demands and be able to communicate the needs and plans to the Agronomy Professor, NM-REEC Director and Staff.
- Assist graduate students, summer help and staff in executing assigned projects.
- Participate in REEC sponsored activities and initiatives as required.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
- Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree, experience with livestock and experience in applied agronomic research is preferred.
Pay
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $19.25 -$27.39 hourly.
Schedule
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
