Research Specialist A

About the role

The Research Specialist will facilitate funded/sponsored research studies by ensuring the scent detection dogs, interns, and facilities are positioned for success.

Responsibilities

• Data collection for research studies
• Intern training
• Dog training and husbandry
• Data entry and management
• Maintain research apparatus (olfactometers)
• Maintain lab facility
• Contribute to study planning
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science and 0 to 1 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required, 1 to 2 years is preferred.

Skills

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience with data entry and management
• Knowledge of animal care and handling
