Research Specialist A
About the role
The laboratory research technician will have their own research projects relating to discovering new targets and treatments for melanoma and other skin cancers. Position involves primary cell culture, 3D skin tissue engineering, genetic editing, genomic and proteomic analyses, and various functional studies on human cells and tissues. The research specialist will also help other lab members with reagent and mouse ordering, general lab organization, and regulatory compliance.
Job Responsibilities
- Ordering lab supplies
- Maintain lab compliance with animal and safety regulations
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Preferred expertise in cell culture
- Expertise in general biomedical lab techniques (PCR, cloning, cell culture, basic mouse work, mouse tumor studies, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence)
Pay
This position is contingent upon funding. Pay Range: $45,278.00 - $63,874.00 Annual Rate
