Key Responsibilities

• Research focus: Bench research on microbial metabolism, metagenomics, and murine models of intestinal disease
• Core lab techniques: Molecular biology and biochemical assays including qPCR, western blot, ELISA, cell and tissue staining, and cell culture
• Experimental ownership: Independently perform experiments, collect and analyze data, and maintain a complete laboratory notebook
• Communication and dissemination: Meet weekly with the PI, prepare project reports, and support manuscript preparation
• Lab operations and compliance: Stock and maintain equipment and supplies, ensure safety and proper disposal, and assist with regulatory compliance and process improvements

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field
• Prior experience or background within an experimental or wet laboratory
• Cell culture experience
