Responsibilities
- Develop and perform research projects focused on GU cancers and other cancer types
- Lead cancer immunoprofiling studies and digital pathology initiatives
- Provide technical expertise in immunoprofiling and image analysis
- Bridge scientific approaches between human and mouse models
- Conduct histopathologic review of fresh frozen and FFPE tumor and normal samples
- Participate as a research pathologist for optimal biospecimen collection and processing
- Review slides and digital images to identify novel insights and research opportunities
- Perform data management, analysis, and interpretation for research projects
- Aid principal investigators in manuscript preparation and grant applications
- Compile, write, and submit scientific reports to stakeholders
- Develop systems for data tracking, management, and reporting
- Plan and supervise training of laboratory technicians and personnel
- Build and lead a pathology-focused research team
- Participate in group meetings and coordinate work with disease site committee pathologists
- Serve as an immunology liaison to collaborators and disease site committees
- Create scientific content for digital pathology and immunoprofiling protocols
- Respond to protocol revisions, contingencies, and study updates
- Support emerging objectives of GU medical oncology and related collaborators
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Natural Sciences or related field
- Four years of experimental or scientific work
- Two years of experimental or scientific work with a medical degree
- Preferred: Clinical research experience, translational experience
Education
- Required: Master's Degree in Natural Sciences or related field
- PREFERRED: PhD in Natural Sciences or Medical Degree
