About the role

Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP, a global law firm with offices across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, seeks a Research Resources & Acquisitions Analyst to administer acquisitions and contract support functions for research resources. This role coordinates renewals, attorney surveys, invoice processing, vendor communications, and contract administration while maintaining accurate financial and acquisitions records. The Analyst supports the Manager by coordinating operational aspects of the acquisitions lifecycle and ensuring efficient execution of acquisitions processes.

The position is hybrid, requiring three days per week in-office, and may be based in Boston, Dallas, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Silicon Valley (Palo Alto), or Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates acquisitions, renewals, and cancellations for research resources.
  • Assists with preparation for procurement, privacy, and information security reviews.
  • Serves as the primary contact for routine vendor communications regarding renewals, pricing, invoices, access, and account administration.
  • Resolves routine vendor issues and escalates complex matters to the Manager as appropriate.
  • Coordinates with vendors and Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (M.L.S., MLIS or equivalent). Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively manage work to high quality standards, with a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the firm in a professional manner.
  • Advanced arithmetic skills (compute rate, ratio, percent; able to draw and interpret graphs and charts).
  • Ability to solve practical problems, dealing with a variety of variables where little standardization exists.

Pay

Salary ranges by location:

  • Boston, MA and Chicago, IL: $84,200 – $134,600
  • Los Angeles, CA and New York, NY: $91,500 – $146,325
  • San Francisco, CA and Silicon Valley, CA: $95,160 – $152,198
  • Seattle, WA and Washington, DC: $87,800 – $140,450

The base salary will be determined during the interview process and may vary based on prior experience, expertise, business needs, and market factors. The total compensation package includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
