Role Summary

The Research Program Specialist is responsible for supporting and leading various functions of the program management team. This role works closely with both OneR network and site stakeholders including site physician leaders, investigators, OneOncology corporate employees, and site research teams to ensure appropriate management and dissemination of site and network-level research menus internally and externally. This position will also work with external stakeholders to help to educate around OneR and its processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the accurate and detailed creation, maintenance, and dissemination of multiple internal cross-system research menu management tools for sites inclusive of all studies in start-up and open to enrollment by disease type, molecular characteristics, setting, line of therapy, and other relevant eligibility criteria

  • Lead the tracking of enrollment by site and by study to assist with site and network level decision-making and performance reporting

  • Lead the external dissemination of the OneR research menu and other OneR accomplishments (conference presence, abstracts/presentations/papers published) for sponsors, CROs, and other partners/stakeholders via website, PowerPoint presentations, and other communications

  • Develop and implement tools for increasing awareness of the research menu at the site and network level including videos, newsletters, and other channels of communication

  • Absorb inquiries around research menu offerings and study availability from physician and research leaders

  • Assist with the receipt, curation, and dissemination of new studies for scientific review at the network and site level including agenda and minute creation, contributing to slides

  • Absorb complex analysis of gaps and competing trials within sites’ menus

  • Absorb meeting planning and facilitation to discuss sites’ research menus (status of studies in start-up, enrollment status)

  • Absorb external stakeholder questions around OneR processes and sites

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, study coordinators, and principal investigators on all aspects of the Associate Program Manager role

  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of menu management tools and both internally-and externally-facing information

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in research menu management and implement best practices to enhance menu quality, site performance, and patient access to studies

Required or Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in clinical research, clinical study coordination, or oncology nursing preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s, RN, NP) preferred or commensurate experience

Essential Competencies

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical capabilities

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Expert-level facility with formatting and graphic design

  • Proven track record of leading the creation of menu management tools and a deep understanding of the complexity and nuance of menu management

  • Knowledge of the oncology landscape including approved products, various mechanisms of action and targets of investigational agents, patient populations of interest, and high-level operational considerations related to specific therapeutic areas (i.e., IECT, radiopharmaceuticals)

  • Ability to work closely and collaboratively with physician leaders

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to think critically, achieve results and manage tasks while adhering to multiple deadlines both independently and as part of a team

  • High emotional intelligence in partnering with physician leaders, research staff and other subject matter experts

  • Ability to work cross-functionally to deliver on key initiatives

  • Ability to adapt to new and changing situations while still maintaining high performance
