About the role
Under guidance, provides administrative and logistical support for awarded projects and activities within national and international sectors. This role is primarily responsible for program implementation, grants management, operational and statistical oversight, and may require travel to study sites.
Responsibilities
- Monitors existing projects to ensure milestones and goals are met; participates in strategic planning and assists with budget adherence and regulatory compliance.
- Provides administrative support for research protocols, including timely submission and renewal.
- Manages day-to-day statistical and data operations: data collection/entry, literature searches, and effort tracking against project budgets.
- Prepares reports and presentations as needed.
- Facilitates and expedites the research grant and contract application process; guides staff on all aspects of the grant lifecycle.
- Recommends preferred sponsor application guidelines to faculty to maximize approval and award opportunities.
- Travels to local and/or international study sites to evaluate programs, write progress reports, and make recommendations for subsequent proposals.
- Develops and plans domestic and international meetings between collaborators.
- Designs and manages the program’s webpage, ensuring regular updates and content relevance.
- Processes academic appointments, reappointments, promotions, notice of non-renewals, and annual faculty reviews (as needed).
- Handles visa paperwork for visiting/international academic staff (as needed).
- Maintains the program’s computing resources, including software licensing and hardware upgrades (as needed).
- Facilitates grant writing, scientific publication, regulatory review, and industry collaboration.
- Prioritizes, prepares briefings, and compiles reports on project progress and operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Approximately five years of relevant work experience within a research environment.
- Previous experience with community outreach and engagement is a plus.
- Experience in grant administration is a plus.
Pay
$104,500 – $131,600 per year.
