45% Mouse Colony Oversight

  • Regulatory compliance
  • Management of a breeding colony
  • Oversight of mouse use in the laboratory
  • Keeping detailed records
  • Managing a complex mouse-breeding colony with various genetic backgrounds
  • Performing genotyping of genetically modified mice
  • Supervising other laboratory staff
  • Interacting effectively with lab members and veterinary staff to ensure high standards of care, organization, and regulatory compliance

Cell Culture

  • Culture of human and macaque iPSCs
  • Derivation of iPSC lines
  • Maintain iPSC lines in pluripotent states (naïve and primed)
  • Induce lineage differentiation of iPSCs
  • Maintain all records related

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in biological science or related field plus at least two years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant research experience to equal at least six years
  • Experience managing a mouse-breeding colony
  • Experience genotyping mice
  • Experience managing regulatory processes related to the use of rodents in research
  • Experience with derivation and maintenance of hiPSCs
  • Ability and motivation to perform careful, conscientious, and highly organized work
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors
  • Ability to interpret, follow, and develop written experimental protocols and document work

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $42,000 - $69,264; depending on education/qualifications/experience
Time Appointment: 100% Appointment
Position Type: Civil-Service & Non-Faculty Labor Represented Staff
