Research Laboratory Technician-Associate

Responsibilities

• Collections, analyzes, and processes laboratory samples.
• Performs a variety of tests, using both routine and special techniques and methods.
• Collects, evaluates, and interprets data.
• Aids in report writing, maintains records of expenditures, and tracks chemical and supply inventory.
• Sets up equipment and materials for course instruction.
• Performs routine library work, including finding literature and copying articles.
• Prepares stock solutions, chemical reagents, and commonly used samples.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Hands-on lab experience and animal handling experience.
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment.
• Capable of prioritizing tasks to meet goals and ensure product quality.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Education

• A high school diploma or GED is required.

Required Skills

• One (1) year of experience is required.
