Research Lab Assistant I - Medically Associated Science & Technology (MAST) Program

About the role

The Medically Associated Science and Technology (MAST) Program at Cedars-Sinai uses basic science, translational and clinical research to understand the gut microbiome and its role in human health and disease. The program generates important discoveries and improvements in diagnosing and treating microbiome-based disorders, including gastrointestinal and metabolic diseases.

Responsibilities

• Performs lab cleaning and maintenance duties including washing and sterilizing glassware, operating autoclaves and other specialized equipment, using special detergents or other cleaning agents.
• Affords assistance with ordering and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Performs other lab cleaning and maintenance as required.
• Might participate in research studies and perform basic lab techniques under the guidance of the Principal Investigator (PI).
