Research Interviewer

About the role

Tetra Tech is seeking interviewers for research studies. The Tetra Tech team based in Madison, WI, works primarily in the energy sector, providing research design, data collection, and analysis services that enable their clients to make business-critical decisions using high-quality and unbiased data.

Responsibilities

• Contact people by telephone, ask questions provided via a script, and record responses
• Interviews will be conducted with household members and commercial businesses that involve interviewing a manager or department representative
• Perform database or computer tasks in support of research surveys, such as conducting address or telephone number lookups using online resources

Requirements

• Strong verbal communication skills are required
• Ability to record data accurately is critical
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment
• Able to communicate in a friendly demeanor and build trust with study participants
• Basic computer literacy skills
• Proficiency with the basic operations of a personal computer, Windows, and Microsoft Office programs
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams is helpful

Qualifications

• Depends on the particular study, this position may require evening shifts
• Work Environment: Remote position, hours are assigned on a project-by-project basis. Work is not guaranteed once studies are complete.
• Physical Demands: Constantly operates a computer, telephone, and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer monitor, computer mouse, and calculator
• Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
• Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
