Research Instructor - Full-Time (O'Sullivan Lab)

About the role

Research is focused on the interplay of telomeres and epigenetic/chromatin biology. The aim is to investigate how DNA repair and epigenetic pathways regulate telomere extension and cancer cell survival. The project involves molecular biology and genomics studies of telomere alterations and chromatin modifications at telomeres. The long-term goal is to leverage mechanistic insights into telomere maintenance to improve anticancer therapies for ALT malignancies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent research on telomere and chromatin biology.
• Perform molecular biology and genomics studies of telomere alterations and chromatin modifications.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data.
• Prepare manuscripts and present findings at scientific conferences.

Requirements

• PhD in biochemistry, genetics, cell biology, or a related discipline.
• Several years of postdoctoral research experience.
• Experience in studying genome maintenance pathways.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
