About the role
The role is seeking a dedicated post-doctoral researcher with expertise in lipid metabolism and neuroscience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and complete funded neuroscience research projects, including the design, execution, and analysis of experiments related to neurological function and disease.
- Manage and oversee multiple research projects from planning through implementation, evaluation, and reporting, while monitoring scientific progress and daily laboratory operations.
- Collaborate closely with the Principal Investigator, collaborating labs, external faculty, and interdisciplinary research teams to support basic and translational studies.
- Perform and oversee animal-based research, including rodent handling, surgeries, health monitoring, tissue collection, and adherence to approved IACUC protocols.
- Prepare manuscripts, research reports, conference presentations, and preliminary data for publications and future grant applications.
- Present findings at seminars, national meetings, and scientific conferences.
- Mentor and coordinate with laboratory personnel (graduate students, other postdoctoral fellows, and lab technicians) to ensure data quality, proper data organization, and effective presentation of research outcomes.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree with significant wet lab experience conducted in a relevant discipline such as biochemistry, neuroscience, metabolism, or physiology.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Pay
$30.70 - $46.05 based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training.
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week.
