About the role
The Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota is seeking a highly qualified postdoctoral Research Fellow for the CT Clinical Innovation Center. This center is a worldwide leader in the field of CT imaging and uses state-of-the-art clinical and pre-clinical CT systems to investigate a wide range of CT-related topics, including the development of novel CT technologies and their translation into clinical practice.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on musculoskeletal applications of PCD CT, focusing on the use of AI to enhance image quality, perform multi-energy analysis, and conduct multi-modal deep learning.
- Collaborate with radiologists, medical physicists, and AI scientists on various research projects.
- Opportunities to explore various aspects of clinical medical physics, potentially including shadowing experiences.
Requirements
A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic.
Qualifications
- Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program.
Compensation
$71,992- $84,220 / year; Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
Schedule
Full Time
Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
