Research Fellow - Radiology
Responsibilities
The basic research interest of Sanjay Misra, M.D., includes understanding the mechanisms of hemodialysis graft failure. Focus areas include animal models of hemodialysis graft failure. In his laboratory, fellows study the mechanisms responsible for hemodialysis graft failure using animal models such as the mouse and pig. The goal of Dr. Misra's team is to develop novel therapies to improve patency of the hemodialysis vascular access that can be delivered using image guidance, such as ultrasound, or balloons coated with the therapy of interest.
Qualifications
- Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program.
- A Research Fellow position is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.
Pay
$67,282.95 - $78,711.15 / year; Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
