About the Role
We are seeking a Power Electronics Research Engineer to develop innovative power electronics concepts and solutions for energy applications.
Responsibilities
- Conduct system modeling, simulation, design, and testing of power converters and submodules.
- Develop EMI filters.
- Contribute to advanced power conversion technologies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to transition concepts into products.
- Communicate findings through reports and presentations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and contribute to proposals.
Requirements
- PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field with relevant experience, or Master’s with a minimum of 2 years in power electronics development.
- Over 3 years of experience in power electronics research, design, and testing of converters and control solutions.
- Knowledge of DC grid concepts, energy storage, microgrids, and renewable integration is preferred.
- Must have legal work authorization in the U.S.
- Current or active Secret Clearance (ability to obtain Top-Secret).
- Willingness to work in Niskayuna, NY.
- U.S. citizenship required due to access to export-controlled information.
