The Occupational Health Tracking Unit (OHTU) is a statewide program focused on public health surveillance for occupational health conditions, particularly respiratory diseases such as work-related asthma and silicosis. OHB identifies workplace hazards, tracks work-related injury and illness patterns, develops training materials, provides technical assistance, and recommends protective occupational health standards.

The Occupational Health Branch is within the Center for Healthy Communities (CHC), which addresses systemic inequities, promotes equitable access to resources, and strengthens social drivers of health. CHC fosters an internal culture prioritizing equity, psychological safety, and belonging.
