About the role
Rival Group, comprised of Rival Technologies and Reach3 Insights, is an award-winning global insights firm dedicated to transforming the insights industry through AI-powered, mobile messaging-based conversational insights.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of all stages of the market research project cycle, including designing and developing questionnaires and discussion guides,
- Oversee data collection and ensure strict quality control,
- Identify and write up analytical findings,
- Visualize and report quantitative and qualitative findings,
- Report writing and taking deliverables to the next level,
- Work with marketing research software packages.
Requirements
- Hands-on research exposure, including questionnaire design, sample frame development, field management, analysis planning, data visualization, and creative report writing.
- Incredible attention to detail and strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and shift priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable asking for help when needed.
- A passion for learning, achieving, and driving great results.
- Proficiency with technology and social media, online market research methodologies, and technology platforms.
- An ability to find the story in the numbers and extract meaningful insights from qualitative and quantitative data.
- Strong data visualization and reporting skills, capable of creating impressive reports for both colleagues and clients.
- A commitment to unlocking the power of consumer insights to support agile decision-making.
Qualifications
- University or college degree.
- 2+ years of relevant, hands-on work experience, preferably with a supplier side organization.
- Background in Technology and Financial Services industries.
- Experience with a wide variety of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- End-to-end market research project management experience, including:
- Designing and developing questionnaires and discussion guides,
- Identifying and writing up analytical findings,
- Visualizing and reporting quantitative and qualitative data,
- Report writing and taking deliverables to the next level,
- Working in marketing research software packages.

- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000, USD with the upper portion typically reserved for tenured employees who have developed extensive job knowledge and expertise within the company.
Schedule
Our priority is hiring candidates based in or near our Chicago office, but we have hubs in other Tech/Financial markets such as NYC, Boston, San Francisco, and Portland.
