Research Consultant II – Dr. Sparks Lab

This position manages the day-to-day operations of research in the Erin Sparks lab, developing and applying advanced experimental procedures to define plant developmental biomechanics. The role involves direct participation in grant application and manuscript development, lab compliance management, and coordination and instruction of technical staff, undergraduate, and graduate researchers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day research operations in the lab.
  • Develop and apply advanced experimental procedures for plant developmental biomechanics.
  • Participate in the development and writing of grant applications and manuscripts.
  • Manage lab compliance and responsibilities.
  • Coordinate and instruct technical staff, undergraduate, and graduate researchers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired.

Qualifications

  • Preferred PhD degree or at least 4 years of experience beyond a BS.

Pay

$61,000.00 per year

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
