Research Compliance Specialist II

About the role

Huron Consulting Group partners with education organizations to develop strategies and implement solutions that enable transformative change. You will help clients achieve organizational effectiveness, improve student outcomes, implement new technologies, and align resources and investments for long-term sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and triages incoming items including IRB submissions and COI disclosures.
• Conducts pre-review of IRB submissions to determine federal agency oversight, evaluate for missing materials, and identify special regulatory issues.
• Conducts certain non-committee IRB reviews.
• Serves as a point of contact for IRB and COI related inquiries.
• Supports COI disclosure process, including initiating disclosure cycles and escalating non-compliance with disclosure timeliness.
• Drafts COI management plans.

Requirements

• U.S. work authorization required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of combined IRB and COI experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and other applications of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of federal regulations governing the ethical conduct of research and the protection of human subjects.
• Knowledge of conflict of interest federal regulations.
• Effective time management to meet deadlines.
• Ability to multi-task, supporting multiple internal initiatives at one time.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to learn quickly, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Certification as an IRB Professional (CIP) is preferred.
• Prior experience using the Huron HRPP Toolkit and HRS IRB/COI software is preferred.

This is a full-time US-REMOTE role. This salaried position may require working additional hours at times, depending on business needs.

Pay

The estimated base salary range for this job is $72,000 - $88,000. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
