Research Billing Analyst

Responsibilities

• Work with study coordinators/research staff, principal investigators and department managers to: Develop effective and compliant charge capture mechanisms
• Identify and resolve charge capture and pricing issues
• Maintain daily monitoring for all clinical trials utilizing Fred Hutch service centers for research activity to ensure: Charge capture occurs appropriately (study or patient accounts)
• Study billing grid and budget with sponsor ties correctly to charge capture for study/patient billable activity
• Communicate monitoring outcomes and feedback to appropriate clinical trial staff and departments
• Notify and communicate clinical trial charge monitoring exceptions

Requirements

• High School diploma
• 4 years of relevant experience required
• Working knowledge of registration, charge capture and billing processes
• Project management skills
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent judgment and problem solving skills
• Strong analytical background
• Understanding of CPT, ICD-9 and medical terminology
• Effective communicator, able to navigate and discuss diverse research charge capture and regulation subjects with various work/communication styles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision, identify problems and apply problem solving skills to complex clinical trial situations and organize and prioritize frequently changing tasks and deadlines

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is from $80,172.00 to $109,470.00, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
