Research Associate Sr
About the role
The Research Associate Sr will be working on two clinical research studies, the PAIR study and the PEACHY study, within our larger lab, the CARE Lab. The primary role of the Research Associate Sr is to assist with structured clinical interviewing at home visits, laboratory visits, and remotely via the phone/HIPAA zoom with mothers of infants and young children. This position is grant funded.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preliminary statistical analysis of project data and provide progress reports to the Principal Investigator as needed.
- Independently oversee and conduct phone screens, interviews, evaluations, assessments and/or tests with research participants.
- Mentor, train and assist with supervising junior research staff as needed.
- Submit regular reports detailing the progress of the research.
- Discuss outcomes and participate in research and/or clinical decision making process.
- Screen referrals.
- Initiate research participant recruitment efforts and share responsibility of overseeing accurate data collection.
- Assist with IRB and grant submissions as needed.
- Assist with preparation of scientific articles as needed.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Counseling, Sociology or related research field and 1 year of work experience in a research project and/or related clinical setting OR Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Counseling, Sociology or related research field and 3 years of work experience in a research project and/or related clinical setting.
Skills
- Clinical interviewing experience (specifically SCID interviews) preferred.
- Familiarity with computers and common software packages required.
- Working knowledge of research methodology strongly preferred.
