Research Assistant, III
Responsibilities
- Collects and compiles data from a variety of sources; may enter data into a PC or computer terminal.
- Obtains informed consent from participants.
- Maintains a knowledge of Good Clinical Practices, FDA, HIPAA and IRB regulations.
- May edit research papers, project reports, proposals and curriculum materials prior to publication or presentation.
- Prepares format for final disposition of data; maintains an internal library on project information resources and final data collected.
- May work with research personnel in the design and preparation of research projects and in recording data.
Requirements
- Research Assistant, III: Requires 3+ years of related experience.
- In pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in a science related field or equivalency of one year of experience in research and analytical techniques; demonstrated statistical and quantitative analysis experience; and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required.
- Departments may require IRB CITI Course or IATA DGR training within a specified timeframe.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R) or willingness to learn.
Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT : 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Skills
Demonstrated statistical and quantitative analysis experience; human relation and effective communication skills; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment; basic proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R) or willingness to learn.

Pay
$23.00 per hour
Schedule
Variable schedule with potential to work in these hours: Sunday-Saturday 8 am – 8 pm depending on the need of the team and studies we are involved in. Work schedule is very flexible.
