About the role
The Antibody Discovery and Accelerated Protein Therapeutics (ADAPT) lab is seeking a Research Assistant II to contribute to research discovering and developing therapeutics for infectious diseases. Our lab employs proteomics, AI/machine learning-driven protein engineering, and directed evolution to advance vaccine antigens, protective antibodies, and other protein therapeutic platforms.
Responsibilities
- Support vaccine development and antibody discovery through LC-MS/MS method development and application.
- Advance MS-based proteomics through hands-on operation of instrumentation, development and execution of analytical workflows, and collaboration with cross-functional scientists.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Arts or Science in a related field
- Experience: Two years’ relevant research or academic experience

- Maintains records of all tests performed and data collected
- Makes minor modifications and/or repairs on laboratory equipment
- Assists with implementing and educating on department-based safety initiatives

- Participates in the development or establishment of new laboratory and/or department procedures
