POSITION SUMMARY
Manages the day-to-day activities for pediatric neurosurgical research projects of considerable scope and complexity.
POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Collects, evaluates, interprets, and documents research pediatric brain MRI, optical imaging data, and gait movement data to accomplish the objectives of a variety of research projects.
- Uses Excel, R, MATLAB and common neuroimaging programs to analyze neuroimaging and gait movement data.
- Influences project direction and outcomes by identifying opportunities to enhance, terminate, or re-direct research activities.
- Helps in the recruiting and documentation of study participants.
- Evaluates and interprets data and provides results to investigators to support publication.
- Maintains quality control checks and a safe environment in compliance with all governmental and University policies, rules, regulation and codes.
- Affords assistance in the preparation and writing of research reports, protocols, manuscripts, papers and grant proposals for presentation and publication.
- Attends laboratory meetings of affiliated co-investigators.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree required. May substitute required education with equivalent years of experience beyond the minimum experience requirement.
Minimum Experience
None 2 Years Related Research Or Clinical Experience Preferred
Physical Requirements
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.

Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
