Responsibilities
- Performs mouse colony management.
- Performs mouse genotyping on various transgenic strains.
- Harvests mouse brain tissue and performs histological processing and analysis.
- Record and analyze data from behavioral experiments with mice, such as analyzing sleep/wake states based on EEG data.
- Assists with running behavioral experiments with mice, such as the Morris Water maze or Object Recognition test.
- Maintains lab routines and ordering supplies.
- Prepares data and graphs for presentation.
- Aids in the development of research proposals, plans, and protocols.
- Conducts routine or fundamental experiments, investigations, and/or studies related to programs and projects in pursuit of new knowledge, techniques, and concepts.
- May instruct students and/or supervise others' research in area of expertise.
Qualifications
- Level I: Bachelor’s degree in a related field - no experience required.
- Level II: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2 years of experience in research practices and protocols relevant to the position.
- Level III: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4 years of experience in research practices and protocols relevant to the position.
- Level IV: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 6 years of experience in research practices and protocols relevant to the position.

The salary range for this position is $35,000 - $55,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
