The Department of Chemical Engineering (CHEG) is seeking a full-time Research Assistant for the Aitbekova research lab. This role will support data analysis, application development, and research objectives. This is a fixed-term position of up to three months.
About the role
Work could include, for example, software development, investigation and summary of existing research reports/papers, presentations, and report/paper writing.
Responsibilities
- Follows research plans in order to collect, record, and manipulate research data.
- Maintains accurate and detailed research records and files.
- May test software prototypes.
- May interact with research subjects in order to perform job functions.
- Performs basic data analysis in order to produce reports.
- Documents results and processes.
- Performs library research and field explorations.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Successful Background Check
Qualifications
- BS in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Interdisciplinary strength in microkinetic modeling.
- A strong research record, including academic experience.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Highly motivated and creative, enjoys working in a collaborative research environment.
- A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
