About the role

The Research Assistant will work directly with patients, performing and assisting with direct patient care activities such as physical assessments, blood draws, medication administration, and ECGs. The role requires acute attention to detail for clean data entry, regulatory compliance, and strict protocol adherence. You will foster relationships between the research team, PIs, sponsors, monitors, and others while embodying the company’s core values.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of assigned studies and patients
  • Perform and assist with direct patient care activities, including physical assessments, blood draws, medication administration, and ECGs (on-the-job training may be offered for procedures not previously performed)
  • Ensure strict compliance with laws, regulations, and requirements of governing bodies
  • Maintain clean data entry, regulatory compliance, and protocol adherence
  • Communicate promptly and effectively with leadership and coworkers regarding questions or needed corrections
  • Learn and use provided technologies to increase efficiency in day-to-day activities
  • Track patient reports and maintain eSource material for assigned studies
  • Contribute to the future of new therapy development in Gastroenterology, Urology, Dermatology, and/or Oncology

Requirements

  • Phlebotomy certification
  • Desire to work directly with patients
  • Ability to perform patient vitals and assist with direct patient care activities
  • Acute attention to detail for data entry, regulatory compliance, and protocol adherence
  • Strong communication skills to foster relationships with the research team, PIs, sponsors, monitors, and others
  • Ability to stay focused while managing multiple protocols and tasks
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (work visas are not currently accepted)
